Ramadhan + Merdeka

Tuesday 18 September 2007

Hurmm..nearly 2 months this blog has no new entry. Guess what, am I busy? Not yet.. hoho.. coz got no idea what to jot down. In this entry I wanna write about Ramadhan. Wanna write about the menu specifically. Hurmm…I think It is not too late to wish, Happy Ramadhan to all…

1st Day
Like a normal day. “Berbuka (iftar)” with chicken curry
The dessert is Kueh Ondeh-ondeh.. But mine is red in color

2nd Day
Hurmm…that day, “berbuka” with Chicken Rice. Well, for the long time agoo, I thought to make Chicken Rice is soooo difficult. But then, when I make it by myself, it is sooo simple macam kacang jer..
The pencuci mulut a.k.a dessert for this day is bronok sagu (Org Terengganu call like this).

3rd Day
This time im not preparing the lauk but that day, faiz n keyo also cooked Chicken Soup For The Soul..Hohoho.. Kidding.. Chicken Soup only..
I just prepared some kueh to be eaten after berbuka-Dessert-
But not actually dessert—I made Cekodok Labu—Jeput(Jemput-jemput) Labu as I call it.

4th day

Unfortunately I didn’t wake up for “sahur” today and yesterday “lauk” still left much. So just have that (Chicken Soup For The Teachers’ Soul)
And this 4th day I made Kueh kasturi..Hohoho

5th Day
I cooked ayam masak merah in this day. And Puding roti as dessert

6th Day
Cooked Nasi Lemak + Kuey Teow and just have pudding roti that still left
Hohoho…

This is my menu for 6 days of Ramadhan- This will be repeating—Salam Ramadhan

And Today, Just read my Uni News..

Patriotic celebration

[ The University of Melbourne Voice Vol. 1, No. 14 17 September - 1 October 2007 ]

More than 200 Malaysian students at the University of Melbourne got together recently in anticipation of Hari Merdeka, Malaysian Independence Day, the 50th anniversary of which fell on Friday 31 August.

Photographs of the flag-waving students appeared in Malaysian newspapers on Merdeka, meaning the students, although studying far afield, were able to be ‘present’ at their national celebration. The students held a range of festive events to mark the anniversary. Report: Mayuca Pandithage.
